Newsletter No 9

Dear Parents
May I wish you all a very happy new year!

Mrs Channon
Mrs Channon is expecting a baby in April and I’m sure you will join with me in wishing her well. Mrs Channon is hoping to work until the end of the Spring Term. Miss Succony will be working with the Bees and Mrs Channon this term and will cover Mrs Channon’s maternity leave. The children already know Miss Succony and both Mrs Channon and Miss Succony are committed to ensuring a smooth transition for the children.

Parent’s Evenings
Another date for your diaries. Parent’s evenings will be held on:

Thursday 8th March 3.20 – 6.50
Friday 9th March 3.20 – 4.30

Further details will be sent out nearer the date.

WISH
Thank you to all of you who supported the WISH Christmas Raffle and Santa Story Evening! WISH are now able to help us lay an artificial surface around the gazebo. Work begins on Monday 16th January. Thank you and thank you WISH!

Bad Weather
In the event of bad weather, please listen to BBC Radio Wiltshire and/or Heart Radio to see if the school is closed. We will also try to put notification on the school website as early as we can.

Clubs
A letter regarding Year 2 clubs will be sent out tomorrow.

Free School Meals
If you are entitled to Free School Meals and have not registered, please do so as soon as possible, as the Government have increased the funding to £600 per pupil. This funding allows us to have smaller classes and to have extra staff to support children’s learning.
