Newsletter No 3
Dear Parents,
This is the Reception children’s first full week in school, please remember by Friday afternoon they will be very tired and probably a bit grumpy.
Parent’s Evening
Please remember that tomorrow and Wednesday you have the opportunity to meet with your child’s teacher. Appointments are 10 minutes each, if you need longer to discuss your child, please make another appointment for a different time.
Clubs
As it is Parent’s Evening this week, there will be NO CLUBS on Wednesday.
Harvest
This Friday, we will be having a special Harvest assembly. Owing to the size of the hall, this will be for children only.
We would be delighted if children could bring in some money for our collection. This year, we are supporting Westbury’s Food Bank, a very worthwhile cause indeed.
Safety
Please, please take care at the beginning and end of school! Cars and children do not mix. We ask you not to use the drive if at all possible, if you do please be extra vigilant for young children. The school gates MUST be kept clear at all times for emergencies.
If your child uses the bike rack, please ask them to walk through the car park with extreme care.
WISH
WISH are to hold their Annual General Meeting on Thursday 4th October at 1.30pm in the school’s staff room. Everyone is very welcome.
Would you like to support Breast Cancer?
On Wednesday 24th October, the staff and children are invited to wear pink for the day to support the Breast Cancer Campaign. We would ask the children to please make a 50p donation. I hope you will feel able to support us.
Half-Term
School will be closed for half-term from Thursday 25th October until Sunday 4th November, re-opening on Monday 5th November.
Best wishes
