Newsletter No 5
Dear Parents,
I hope you had an enjoyable and restful holiday.
Dogs
Before Half-term, there was an incident when a dog tied to the back fence nipped two children. Please do not leave dogs unattended unless muzzled. Could all parents please stress to their children that they should not try to stroke unknown dogs. Thank you.
Breast Cancer
Thank you for your support with raising money for Breast Cancer. We raised £170.72. Thank you so very much.
Parent Questionnaire
I would be very grateful if you could complete and return the attached questionnaire. It is very important that the Governors and I know your views of the school so that we can continue to improve. Please feel free to write any additional comments on the reverse of the questionnaire. You may wish to make these anonymously; if you are happy to give your name and your child’s class that would be great.
The Drive
Yet again, the drive continues to cause problems. I have asked the police to come and talk to people who are parking inconsiderately. Please remember it is an offence to drive on a pavement and to obstruct emergency exits, i.e. the school gates. Please do not use the drive if at all possible; the exception to this is the parents of the children in the Resource Base. Please help us to keep the children safe.
Parents Workshop on Safe Use of the Internet
On Monday 19th November, parents are invited to Westbury Junior School to learn how to ensure their child uses the internet safely and how to ensure that are not exposed to cyber-bullying. The presentation will be from 2.15pm – 3.00pm in the Junior School Hall.
Please note that there will be a joint staff meeting with Westbury Junior School and Westbury Infant School at 3.30 on Monday 19th November to discuss E-Safety, so please note there will be no after school clubs on this day.
Best wishes
