Westbury Infant School Newsletter No. 9 – 9th January 2013 Dear Parents, Welcome back! I hope that many of you enjoyed the holiday. Very sadly one family suffered a tragic loss, I hope that everyone will do all they can to help and support them at such a difficult time. SCHOOL PLACES The deadline for applications for places for Sept 2013 for both the Infant School and Junior School is Noon on 15th January 2013. If you need a form please call into the office or you can apply on line at www.wiltshire.gov.uk. FREE SCHOOL MEALS Please apply for free school meals for your child if you are entitled to. The Government gives the school extra funding for every child who receives free school meals, your child does not have to have school dinners every day or at all. Do you receive any of the following? • Income Support • Income-based Jobseekers Allowance • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance • Support under part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999 • The Guarantee element of State Pension Credit • Child Tax Credit, provided they are not entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual income (as assessed by HM Revenue & Customs) that does not exceed £16,190 • Working Tax Credit ‘run-on’ the payment someone may receive for a further four weeks after they stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit Please call into the office if you are unsure if you qualify. Thank you. CLUBS I will write with details of Clubs separately. Year 1 children who were unable to attend Gym Club because of numbers last term will be given priority for Gym Club which will be on Wednesdays. STUDENT TEACHER Penguin Class will have a Student Teacher, Miss Kenich, working with Mr Mould and Mrs Bailey this term.
