Dear Parents, This is going to be a busy half term! Please put the following dates in your diaries. Birds of Prey display: Tuesday 26th February WISH Meeting: Tuesday 26th February 2:15pm WISH will be meeting in the staffroom. New members always welcome. School Photographs: Wednesday 27th February Olympic Gymnast: Tuesday 5th March The school will be welcoming an Olympic Gymnast. The gymnast will be working with each class individually; training them with different fitness games, stretches and exercises. He will also be performing a gymnastic display to demonstrate to the children what they could achieve. In order to fund this visit we are asking you to sponsor your child for the day. Sponsor form to follow. World Book Day: Thursday 7th March We will be celebrating World Book Day with a special assembly. The children are welcome to come dressed as their favourite book character. Mothering Sunday Poem & Songs: Friday 8th March We would like to invite you to listen to the children celebrate all you do for them. This will take place in the hall at two different times. Year R Mothers @ 9:05am Year 1 & 2 Mothers @ 2:35pm Parents Evenings: Monday 11th March 3:20pm – 6:50pm Tuesday 12th March 3:20pm – 4:50pm Please sign up for a 10 minute appointment to see your child’s teacher. Book Fair: Wednesday 13th March – Tuesday 19th March We are holding a book fair every evening from 3:10pm – 3:45pm. All of the children will have a £1 voucher from World Book Fair. Non-Uniform Day/Red Nose Day: Friday 15th March Children are asked to wear red to mark Red Nose Day. We would ask that the children bring an Easter Egg for the WISH Easter Egg tombola and if possible a few pennies that we will use to cover a Red Nose in the hall. Lions Concert: Wednesday 20th March 6pm A selected group of children from Year 2 will represent the school at Matravers. We will select the children shortly. Easter Egg Tombola: Friday 22nd March 3:05pm WISH will be holding an Easter Egg Tombola in the hall. Easter Holidays: School will be closed for the Easter holidays for two weeks from Monday 25th March. We will re-open on Monday 8th April. Best wishes Jan Ball Headteacher
