13th June 2014 - Newsletter No. 18

News We had lots of fun dancing at the disco last Friday, it was a very hot afternoon but the children really enjoyed themselves. I haven’t seen the movie ‘Frozen’ yet but am now word perfect on the songs! Thank you to all the members of WISH who organised the disco and helped out on the day. • PARKING There have been many safety concerns from parents about cars parking on the double yellow lines, forcing pushchairs and walking toddlers into the road. In response to this, cones are now placed along the drive to deter cars from parking there. We are really sorry if this causes you problems but the safety of the children has to be our priority. • SPORTS DAY Sports Day weather permitting is on Friday 20th June at 10am, if it is wet on the 20th we will try again on the 24th. We will be practising regularly before this, please ensure your child has their PE Kit and Daps that fit in school every day. Your child will know their colour team soon; if possible we would like the children to wear a t-shirt in their team colours. • PAULTONS PARK TRIP – 22nd June The draw for the Westbury Lions Rotary trip to Paultons Park will take place on Monday during Assembly. Winners will be notified in writing on Monday afternoon. I am looking forward to accompanying Y2 and Y1 children on their school trips over the next couple of weeks. The Reception trip is still in the planning stages, but will definitely take place before the end of term. We hope to have more details for you very soon. Stacey Budge Headteacher
