PICNIC
On Wednesday afternoon we are having a whole school end of term picnic. Children are making picnic food in their classes and we will be holding our picnic on the orchard. Children will still need to bring a packed lunch or have a hot dinner as usual please. Children may bring a (named) teddy to school for the picnic.
YEAR 2 PERFORMANCE
All the Year 2 children put on a wonderful performance of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat last week. It is a really difficult piece of drama but the children were amazing. Thank you to all the Year 2 Staff who worked so incredibly hard to make the show happen.
LEAVERS
We say goodbye to our Year 2 children this week and wish them all the very best as they move on to new schools and bright futures. I have not had the privilege of knowing them for long, but am proud of each and every one of them, and what they have achieved at Westbury Infant School. We hope you will come back and see us and tell us how you are getting on.
Can Year 2 Parents please ensure all outstanding dinner money is paid before the end of term.
CAKE SALE
Thank you to all Parents who supported the WISH Cake Sale, the money raised will go towards resources for the children.
HOURS LOST
Last week as a school a total of 231 hours were lost through missed education.
RECEPTION TRIP
I had a great time accompanying the Reception Classes on their trip last week to Brokerswood. The weather was kind to us and the children had a fantastic time playing in the wood, making wands and hunting for the Gruffalo. Thank you Hedgehogs and Robins for a lovely day.
GOODBYE
We are saying goodbye to Mrs Mason at the end of term; she is looking forward to a very well earned retirement. We shall miss Julie very much and hope that she will become a regular visitor to Westbury Infant School.
THANK YOU
I would like to finish the year by saying thank you to all the Staff at Westbury Infant School who work tirelessly to provide the very best education for our children and to all the Parents and children who have made me feel so welcome here. I am really looking forward to the new school year ahead; there are many fun times to come. I wish all our families a safe and happy holiday.
